The XtremeDrive™ provides industry-leading data protection through the
application of best-in-class technologies and military-grade construction.
The XtremeDrive's patent-pending construction includes an innovative
board design and water-proof assembly. Its small form factor and lightweight
construction makes it ideal for military service men and women to
carry in the field, without adding additional weight. These same features
make this product ideal for extreme environment enthusiast applications.
The XtremeDrive is designed to withstand intense temperatures, moisture,
environmental contaminates, shock and vibration. Scheduled to be certified
to the exacting specifications of MIL-STD-810F, the XtremeDrive will
survive in extreme hot and cold environments.
Certified testing:
The XtremeDrive will be certified to
exacting standards as defined by the
following military specifications:
MIL-STD-810F: A series of standards are issued by the United States Army's
Developmental Test Command, to specify various environmental tests to prove
that equipment qualified to the standard will survive in the field.
IP67: The IP Code defined in international standard IEC 60529 classifies the level
of protection that electrical appliances provide against the intrusion of solid objects
or dust, accidental contact, and water.
The XtremeDrive will protect the hard drive from the ingress of dust;
and offer complete protection against contact. The XtremeDrive will
also protect against the ingress of water in harmful quantity when the
enclosure is immersed in water under defined conditions of pressure and
time (up to 1 m of submersion).
